Holtby Hammers Halak; Caps Beat Islanders 4-1

When the Isles looked at the schedule a couple of weeks ago, they saw trouble dead ahead. They had two straight games against the top two teams in the NHL. Game number one turned out pretty good,; a 6-5 win against the Stars. Tonight? Not so much. The Islanders just couldn’t keep up with the Capitals, just like last Spring. Only this time, they looked way more overmatched in a deflating 4-1 loss.

Jack Capuano was celebrating his 400th game coaching in the NHL, a feat only accomplished by 85 men before him. Unfortunately, the Isles could not help him celebrate.
