Bailey, Islanders Douse Flames In Overtime, Win 2-1

Sometimes, it’s better to be lucky than good. But, in the end, skill always moves you forward.

For two periods tonight, the Islanders looked like a different team. This was not the team that has gone 6-1-1 in its last eight. They looked completely out of gas. They were trying to keep up with Calgary, but they were chasing their own tails. It took a little but of luck for the Isles to escape regulation with a point, but winning in overtime? That was all skill.

4:10 into the game, Jiri Hudler put the Flames on the board first.
