It's been almost a year since Al Arbour passed away. The legendary New York Islanders coach's death wasn't exactly a surprise but that leaves no less a hole in the hearts of so many players, colleagues and of course fans who revered him.
To aid in that healing -- remember, funerals are for the living -- the Islanders have planned a memorial tribute on Aug. 29 open to fans which will include many of the family and hockey people who held him so dear.
Seating for the event at their official practice facility is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
