The gang’s all here, in the semifinals of the World Cup of Hockey.
All four Islanders players have advanced to the tournament’s final four following Team Russia’s 3-0 win over Team Finland on Thursday. Nikolay Kulemin and his countrymen will now face John Tavares and Team Canada in the first semifinal on Saturday night.
In Sunday afternoon’s second semifinal, Team Europe - featuring starting goalie Jaroslav Halak and also Thomas Greiss - will play Team Sweden. The winners of each game will meet in the best-of-three final series which starts on Tuesday.
