EAST RUTHERFORD -- This isn't the way Tavarres King wanted to get his opportunity.
The wide receiver, who was cut by the Giants in Week 2, was re-signed on Monday after a spate of injuries struck the position in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Chargers.
King has gone from his couch to the starting lineup after wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle), Brandon Marshall (ankle) and Dwayne Harris (foot) suffered season-ending injuries on Sunday. Slot receiver Sterling Shepard sprained his ankle in the game and is "day-to-day" leading into Sunday's matchup with the Broncos.
