Fresh off of signing the largest contract ever for a NFL wide receiver, Odell Beckham was talking about winning Super Bowls and enhancing his legacy with the Giants.
Eight weeks later, the Giants look as far from a championship contender as they have in about 15 years. For the first time in that span, the Giants are trading away starters for draft picks and playing for the future rather than the present.
For Beckham, who never misses an opportunity to passionately describe his burning desire within for winning, it must be extra difficult to swallow the reality that the Giants are in rebuilding mode.
