EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The Giants will be without linebacker and defensive signal caller Alec Ogletree on Sunday when they host the Redskins at MetLife Stadium. Ogletree, the Giants’ second-leading tackler, was ruled out on Friday after missing a third straight practice with a hamstring injury.
That makes three defensive starters who will be missing on Sunday. The other two are Eli Apple and Damon Harrison, who were traded away this week in what could be interpreted as white flag moves by general manager Dave Gettleman after the Giants’ 1-6 start.
“We’ll put the next guys in,” coach Pat Shurmur said.
