The duo seemed to have good chemistry in the nine games that Tye replaced injured incumbent Larry Donnell. Tye made some big plays down the field for the G-Men and proved to be a dependable red zone target for Manning as their familiarity grew stronger.
Of course, Big Blue will need to employ more than one tight end, but it was good to see the team didn’t make any major moves via trade or free agency to push Tye away from being the number one target and becoming one of the most productive pass-catching tight ends since Jeremy Shockey left after the 2007 season.
