Giants coach Pat Shurmur said "there will be consequences for this type of behavior" after backup quarterback Kyle Lauletta was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with a third-degree offense of eluding police after a motor vehicle incident.
Speaking on WFAN radio with host Mike Francesa at 4 p.m. Tuesday just after the NFL trade deadline passed, Shurmur said Lauletta was back at the team facility. He missed Tuesday morning's practice after the incident at 8 a.m. on his way to headquarters while driving near Route 495 in Weehawken.
"This is not going to be taken lightly," Shurmur said during his weekly appearance.
