John Mara wants Eli Manning to be a Giant in 2018, and Manning says he wants to be a Giant too.
OK, so that's settled, right?
Not quite. In fact, it's become even more complicated now. Manning turned in a stunning performance in the Giants' heartbreaking 34-29 loss to the Eagles on Sunday, throwing for 434 yards and three touchdowns. Manning's brilliant outing further muddies the Giants' chaotic quarterback situation and could - could - make things that much more difficult for the Giants' new general manager and head coach, whoever they may be, when they get the job and begin to try to rebuild the team.
