The blockbuster trade between the Jets and Colts on Saturday could wind up being a win-win. Or, when you consider the Giants, a win-win-win.
Big Blue made no maneuvers at all but the value of their No. 2 overall selection in the upcoming draft — right after the Browns are almost certain to take a quarterback first overall and right before the Jets will almost undoubtedly do the same at No. 3 — rose dramatically because of the Jets-Colts swap.
If a team, say the Bills or the Broncos, wants to move up to their choice of the top three quarterbacks in the draft, they’ll have to call the Giants.
