PHILADELPHIA -- The Eagles hung their first Super Bowl championship banner from the rafters at Lincoln Financial Field prior to Thursday night's NFL opener, but NBC's Rodney Harrison thinks a second will have to wait at least a year.
As a player, Harrison was a member of the last team to repeat as Super Bowl champions, when the Patriots knocked off the Carolina Panthers and Eagles in Super Bowls XXXIII and XXXIX, but doesn't believe that the defending champs will be able to replicate that feat.
"It's tough to do," Harrison said on NBC's Football Night in America pregame show Thursday.
