Josh Norman's wallet took a big hit this week, as the Redskins cornerback was fined $48,620 for the unnecessary roughness foul he received for his big hit on Giants wideout Sterling Shepard in Washington's 29-27 win last weekend.
Norman's fine is so steep because he is a repeat offender in the NFL fine system after last year's brawl game with Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr.
And Beckham too is considered a repeat offender and subject to heavier-than-usual fines, as evidence by the $36,000 he was dinged for his hit on Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro two weeks ago (unlike Norman, Beckham was not called for a penalty on the play).
