So does the new Giants coach already have favorites after seven months on the job?
Pat Shurmur pointed to left tackle Nate Solder, linebacker Alec Ogletree and safety Landon Collins as examples of players who have stepped up as leaders.
"You don’t have to be extraordinary to be a leader, you just have to do the right thing for the right reason at the right time all the time and then you can lead," Shurmur said.
