What inspired Steve Spagnuolo's defense vs. Tom Brady in SBXLII?

The NFL is already a small world, but Steve Spagnuolo makes it even smaller.

The 34-year coaching veteran, who is beginning his second stint as defensive coordinator of the New York Giants, has held just about every defensive position there is on a staff, both on the collegiate and professional levels.

Over that time, he has seen and done it all.

His highest title was head coach of the St. Louis Rams, a three-year run that included drafting quarterback Sam Bradford first overall in 2010. The former Heisman Trophy winner was traded this offseason to the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles, and Spagnuolo will now scheme against Bradford should he be under center for their first meeting on Monday Night Football in Week 6.
