What Daniel Jones can expect from ‘great’ Jason Garrett: Dak Prescott

Jason Garrett will always have a fan in Dak Prescott.

“I can’t thank him enough for everything he’s done for my career,” the Cowboys quarterback told NJ.com of his former coach on Wednesday. “Believing in me to drive me and push me to be the player that I have become. I’m thankful for his impact.”

Prescott made his NFL debut in 2016 as the Cowboys starter, replacing a then-injured Tony Romo. Under Garrett’s regime, Prescott helped lead the Cowboys to three postseason appearances. After failing to make the playoffs this year, owner Jerry Jones fired Garrett after nine-plus seasons.
