EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- When the New York Giants open the season at AT&T Stadium on Sept. 11, the first player to touch the ball could be Tom Obarski.
Who? Blutarsky?
No, not the famous “Animal House” character played by John Belushi. It's Obarski, not Blutarsky.
Obarski may be the Giants’ opening-day kicker after Josh Brown was suspended one game for violating the NFL’s conduct policy. Brown faced a domestic-violence charge last year following an incident with his now ex-wife. The charge was later dropped.
The Giants knew the suspension was a possibility when they re-signed Brown this offseason to a two-year, $4 million deal.
