Weston Richburg heads to injured reserve; Giants future uncertain

Weston Richburg may have played his last game as a Giant.

The fourth-year center was placed on injured reserve Saturday with a concussion, a day before the Giants resume their lost season against the Rams at MetLife Stadium. Cornerback Tim Scott has been promoted from the practice squad to take Richburg's spot on the active roster.

Richburg has been in concussion protocol since suffering a head injury in the Giants' Oct. 1 loss to the Buccaneers. The 2014 second-round pick has missed the last three games, and has not been observed doing any physical activity in the parts of practice open to reporters over the last month.
