EAST RUTHERFORD -- Giants head coach Pat Shurmur ratcheted up the intensity of training camp, as the players strapped the pads on for the first time in the heat and humidity of training camp.
While there are now "LIVE" periods, with tackling to the ground, Shurmur stressed the importance of putting on the pads and re-introducing hitting to a team that has been practicing in shorts and shells ever since the week leading up to April's 2018 NFL Draft.
