After 16 weeks of putrid, borderline-unwatchable NFC East football, a division champion has been crowned.
With a 38-24 victory over the Eagles Saturday night at Lincoln Financial Field, Washington claimed the NFC East title and ended the Giants’ chances of a playoff appearance. Big Blue’s game Sunday night at the Vikings is now meaningless in terms of postseason implications.
The question now is whether Tom Coughlin keeps his job. The coach has failed to lead the Giants to the playoffs in each of the past four seasons.
