The return is making a comeback.
Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, who fought through a torn patellar tendon to participate in training camp only to have a calf injury sideline him for a month, was back on the field on Tuesday. It was the first time Cruz has been seen doing any kind of activity since the calf injury first popped up in mid-August.
Cruz was wearing a helmet and jersey and stretched with the team at the beginning of practice. After that he moved to an adjacent field where he worked with a trainer on running.
