Victor Cruz may have to hit backspace on “The Return.”
The star Giants wide receiver, planning to play his first game in nearly a year on Sunday against the Bills, suffered a setback to his lingering calf injury during Wednesday’s practice.
“Victor came out and tried to do individuals,” coach Tom Coughlin said. “He felt the calf again and that’s all he did.”
Cruz was considered done with his rehab of last season’s serious knee injury when he first injured the calf during training camp, forcing him to sit out the Giants’ first three games as they posted a 1-2 record.
