Victor Cruz plans to revisit spot on field where he suffered horrific injury

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – A little more than two years after his knee exploded in front of a national audience, New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz will return to the place where he tore the patellar tendon in his right knee on Thursday night.

The Giants play the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night at Lincoln Financial Field.

Cruz’s first move upon taking the field will be to revisit the spot in the right corner of the end zone where he hurt his knee when he attempted to catch a pass late in the second quarter. Cruz missed the final 10 games of the 2014 season and missed all of 2015 with a calf injury he attributed to overcompensation of the knee last summer.
