Victor Cruz injures calf, will miss Wednesday's practice

We speculated earlier today about the possibility of New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz playing in Saturday's preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Perhaps that is no longer on the table with news that Cruz, returning from a torn patellar tendon, won't practice Wednesday due to a calf strain.

Victor Cruz has a "little strain in the calf area." Won't practice today, says Coughlin.

Head coach Tom Coughlin said he thought perhaps deyhdration led to the strain, and that it was not related to his knee.
