Victor Cruz admits he’ll carry the gruesome memories of the night of Oct. 12, 2014, into Sunday’s game against the Eagles at MetLife Stadium. Cruz tore the patellar tendon in his right knee against the Eagles in Philadelphia, and he’ll face them for the first time since that game at Lincoln Financial Field.
“Obviously, in the back of my mind, I think about it,” Cruz said Wednesday about the injury. “It’s different circumstances, different year [and different stadium], but I’d be lying if I didn’t say it’s on my mind at some point.”
Cruz wound up missing not only the rest of the 2014 season but the entire 2015 season because of a calf injury in his left leg he initially suffered in training camp.
