Sidelined Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz had a platelet-rich plasma injection Thursday, according to a report.
Cruz was already ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Bills, and while PRP injections are fairly common, the procedure suggests that the 28-year-old isn’t close to returning to action.
The Giants have been without Cruz since last October, when he blew out his knee playing against the Eagles. He tweaked his calf during training camp in mid-August and has struggled to get back on the field. He walked off the practice field on Wednesday after going through individual drills and was ruled out for Week 4 on Thursday.
