Victor Cruz has shown he has been able to come back from his devastating knee injury suffered two years ago, but Sunday’s game against the Eagles will be his first against the team the Giants were playing when he tore his patellar tendon.
“Obviously, it will be in the back of my mind,” Cruz said Wednesday. “I think about it, but it’s different circumstances, a different year.”
Cruz was leaping to catch a pass in the end zone on Oct. 12, 2014, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia when he went down. He missed the rest of the year, then didn’t play at all last season because of a calf injury.
