EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants seem to be taking the strength in numbers approach to their defensive backfield. They keep adding bodies to their secondary in this second wave of free agency.
Veteran cornerback William Gay is the latest to join to the mix. He comes to the Giants after spending most of his first 11 professional seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He joins Michael Thomas, B.W. Webb, Curtis Riley and Teddy Williams as new faces in the Giants secondary.
Gay, 33, will join the competition to replace Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who was a salary-cap casualty earlier this offseason.
