According to James Kratch of NJ.com, “by default” New York Giants cornerback Valentino Blake is the favorite to be the team’s fourth cornerback this season.
Blake, who signed with the Giants this offseason, has spent his first five seasons in the NFL playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Pittsburgh Steelers, and most recently, the Tennessee Titans.
Over the last three seasons, he’s recorded at least 40 tackles while picking off three passes during that time period.
Kratch also adds that Michael Hunter, who played two games last season as an undrafted rookie for the Giants, is in the mix for the fourth corner job as well.
