The Giants held what should have been a comfortable lead early in the fourth quarter, but there was nothing comfortable about it, not after the way they blew two 10-point, fourth-quarter leads in their first two games. And when Washington started driving early in the quarter, the defense could feel things slipping away again.

“I guess at the time they were running on our edges and he said at the time that everybody was fighting,” said cornerback Prince Amukamara.
