One year ago Monday the Giants were 3-2, too, riding a three-game winning streak and ready to go on a roll. Then before they knew what hit them, Victor Cruz was being carted off the field in Philadelphia and the Giants lost their first of what would be seven in a row.
That's a good reminder of how quickly a season can unravel.
But that doesn't mean that it's going to happen again.
In fact there's no reason, no excuse for these first-place Giants (3-2) to not still be in first place after they play the Eagles in Philadelphia next Monday night.
