The thorn in the side of the Giants the last two years has been a big one, and the process to remove it has been painful. Too many times their best offensive plans were thwarted by Eli Manning getting chased from the pocket, or worse — being tossed to the ground.
But finally now, when Tom Coughlin and Jerry Reese look at the wall in front of their franchise quarterback, they feel more secure than they’ve felt in several seasons.
“Offensive line has been an issue for a couple of years,” Reese said. “We’re trying to finally solidify the offensive line, and I feel like we’ve got some strong caliber players.
