Before he was a football star, and long before he became a Giants legend with his helmet catch, David Tyree “rocked the clarinet a little bit.” He was a music student up through middle school. He has several children who take piano lessons right now.
So Tyree, the former Giants receiver and one of the heroes of Super Bowl XLII, understands the value of music education. It’s why he’s willing to lend his time and voice to the Traveling Guitar Foundation – an organization that delivers music education and instruments to schools whose music and art budgets have been cut.
