A tweet from ESPN NFL Nation reporter Jordan Raanan, who covers the NY Giants, claimed the above about Tom Coughlin.
That Jaguars situation is really something, especially considering they’re collapsing and I heard there was one voice in the room sold on Lamar Jackson. His name was Tom Coughlin. Jacksonville took Taven Bryan with the 29th pick. Lamar went 32nd. https://t.co/nx7jqkt8PU

The claim is certainly intriguing, considering the 73 year-old is not the first person I would expect to vouch for an ultra-athletic quarterback that had some accuracy concerns initially coming out of the 2018 draft.
