Top 5 candidates to have a breakout in year two for the NY Giants

There are a plethora of reasons why NY Giants fans should be optimistic about what the future holds for the franchise. Just two seasons ago, the franchise was mired in a disastrous salary cap situation and was void of talented depth at many key positions.

After years of former NY Giants general manager, Jerry Reese, missing on a high percentage of his draft picks, the team was forced to overpay for free-agent acquisitions in an attempt to plug massive holes throughout the roster.

Additionally, a huge portion of the salary cap was allocated to Eli Manning, who was on the back end of his Hall of Fame-caliber career, the offensive line was in shambles after almost a decade of neglect, the team lacked depth at many of the skill positions, especially on the defensive side of the ball, and valuable salary-cap space was being used for aging veteran players.
