Coach deflects retirement/firing discussion.
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Tom Coughlin may have walked off the MetLife Stadium field for the last time as coach of the New York Giants Sunday following his team's season-ending 35-30 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Coughlin, though, wasn't giving any hints during his post-game press conference about whether he would retire, or whether he expects owner John Mara to tell him his services are no longer required.
"No one has decided anything. Where do the reports come from?" wondered Coughlin when asked about the rash of reports over the weekend that he would retire on Monday.
