General manager Dave Gettleman and head coach Pat Shurmur inherited a Giants team that won three games in 2017 and lacked in many, many areas, including team chemistry.
There was a toxic mix in the defensive backfield and a leadership void on the offensive line. An overhaul was needed, and how players fit together was a constant theme with every newcomer brought in by the new regime.
The spring work is finished, and the summer work is nearing an end. The regular season is in sight. Shurmur, though, is not ready to stamp anything just yet.
