The Odell Beckham-Giants mega-deal is at a stalemate

Odell Beckham’s agent reportedly has left Giants camp without a deal in place.

Zeke Sandhu left after the two sides failed to agree on Beckham’s value, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson. According to Anderson, the Giants were not ready to make Beckham the highest-paid wide receiver in the league — at least not yet. That honor, by average, is currently held by the Chiefs’ Sammy Watkins at $16 million.

Beckham has said in the past he wants to be not just the highest-paid receiver, but the highest-paid player in football. The latter won’t happen, but he has a very good argument to be the best-paid wideout.
