On Monday, it was officially reported that New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley would miss some time. After sustaining a high ankle sprain in the midst of Big Blue’s big victory in Tampa Bay, it was reported Barkley would be out four to eight weeks. That means he’ll return anywhere between the team’s Week 7 and 12 games. New York has a bye during Week 11.
The Giants will have backup running back Wayne Gallman take over with Barkley sidelined. Despite never experiencing the workload that Saquon has, the team believes Gallman can take over the current running game.
