According to Andy Martino of SNY, talks between the New York Mets and Houston Astros have “fizzled” regarding a trade for shortstop Carlos Correa.
Martino had recently reported that both teams had “dialogue” about Correa due to his expensive arbitration years coming up.
But it appears that nothing has developed on that front.
The Astros and Mets have become familiar trade partners over the last two offseasons.
One deal included infielder/outfielder J.D. Davis and the other included outfielder Jake Marisnick.
