The Giants will sign linebacker Curtis Grant from their practice squad in time for him to get a uniform for their Monday night game against the Lions at MetLife Stadium. It is a move that means B.J. Goodson is most likely not going to be able to make his second NFL start.
Goodson’s starting debut at middle linebacker last week was a resounding success, as he made 18 tackles – 14 solo – and commanded the line of scrimmage, barking out directions to his older teammates in a 19-3 loss to the Cowboys. Goodson came out of the game with a shin injury that worsened as the week went on, and the Giants are not confident he can make it through a game.
