The forgotten champs: 25 years later, time to right Giants’ parade snub

When the Giants play their home opener against the Falcons on Sept. 20, the 1990 Super Bowl team will be reunited to celebrate their memorable Jan. 27, 1991, victory over the Bills in Super Bowl XXV. At some point, it would be fitting if they were given the parade they never got to enjoy.

The Yankees, the Rangers and the Giants’ two Super Bowl-winning teams in 2007 and 2011 all were treated to a trip up the Canyon of Heroes, where they are cheered by fans and showered with confetti. More recently, the U.S. women’s soccer team was celebrated with a parade for their World Cup title.
