PHILADELPHIA – It was one of those questions that had to be asked and was not unfair or cruel or condescending or a cheap shot. But you know it stung more than a little and the expression on the face of Daniel Jones made it apparent the question pained him.
The events of the week made it pertinent and in need of being asked and answered. The juxtaposition was too great to ignore. Jones, a strapping 22-year old athlete, lasted 10 consecutive games as the Giants’ starting quarterback but came out of his 10th start with a right high ankle sprain, an injury that he could not play through.
