EAST RUTHERFORD -- The Giants' defense is, stunningly, reliving some of its bad old days after three games.
Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo believes it's a simple-enough fix: Tackle, and stop the run.
"It all begins right up there," Spagnuolo said after the 0-3 Giants completed Thursday's practice ahead of Sunday's game at the Buccaneers.
But can his unit get the job done? It's not quite 2015 all over again, but the Giants are dead-last in the NFL against the run.
The Eagles gashed them for 193 yards this past Sunday. Philly was able to rack up many of those yards due to a slew of broken and missed tackles, and it was a continuation of a similarly sloppy effort in Week 2's loss to the Lions, when Detroit ran for 158 yards.
