Steve Smith heard the preseason stat line for his former teammate Jonathan Stewart and didn't bat an eye.
Stewart, in his first year with the Giants after a 10-year career as the leading rusher in Panthers history, finished the preseason with 10 carries for negative five yards in three games.
"As a fan, you are getting nervous. Here's my question with that: To get minus five yards, you have to get what behind the line of scrimmage?" Smith asked, knowing "tackled" is the correct answer. "If a guy is tackled, that means somebody missed a (block).
