EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants' injury-ravaged receiving corps received a boost Wednesday when Sterling Shepard returned to practice.
The second-year wide receiver missed Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. He was seen early last week in a boot after getting hurt in the previous week’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Shepard said it was a sprained ankle, similar to what he experienced in the summer. That sidelined him a couple weeks.
The Giants host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday before heading into their bye week.
