EAST RUTHERFORD -- Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell said Wednesday after reviewing the film, he believes the Giants' defense tried to injure him late in Sunday's 24-14 Steeler win in Pittsburgh.
Right after the two-minute warning, Bell had a 2-yard run. Cornerback Eli Apple and defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins combined to tackle Bell, who landed somewhat awkwardly with his left leg tucked under his body, but with both knees down and his torso upright.
Linebackers Devon Kennard and Kelvin Sheppard then made contact with Bell high, and began driving him down, twisting Bell.
