EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Among the players cut by the New York Giants on Tuesday as they trimmed their roster to 53 were veteran wide receivers Allen Robinson II and Isaiah Hodgins, sources told ESPN.
Robinson and Hodgins were stuck behind the Giants' younger receivers and didn't have significant special teams value as the team's potential fifth or sixth receiver. It made them expendable on the NFL's cut-down day.
But perhaps the most significant move for the Giants (as of Tuesday early afternoon) was keeping Tommy DeVito.
