EAST RUTHERFORD — When Giants running back Shane Vereen went on injured reserve after Week 3, Bobby Rainey was thrust into a bigger role. Rainey has thrived, catching 13 passes for 95 yards and rushing nine times for 44 yards in the past two games.
Rainey signed with the Giants in April after spending the previous three seasons with the Buccaneers. I caught up with the 5-foot-8, 205-pound Rainey this week to discuss his emergence and his kinship with other undersized running backs:
