Signing Golden Tate mitigates New York Giants receiver situation

First, the biggest beneficiary of trading Odell Beckham to the Cleveland Browns should be New York Giants tight end Evan Engram. Engram had 45 catches on just 64 targets, according to Pro Football Reference. He did miss five games with a hamstring injury, so if he’s healthy, the possibility of 100 targets becomes distinct possibility.

With tight ends Rhett Ellison and useful reserve Scott Simonson also in the fold, Big Blue could opt for more snaps in the “12 Personnel Grouping” too. That’s two wideouts, two tight ends and a running back.
